North Sister

I climbed the massive pile of choss known as North Sister last weekend with Lila and her friend Matt. I don't have a whole lot of great things to say about this mountain except the views to the south of Middle and South Sisters, Broken Top, and Bachelor are incredible. I can't even say I'd recommend this climb to anyone who doesn't like endless ball-bearing scree slogging. Matt seems to like this sort thing on the other hand seeing how this was his third time up the beast (and he even has plans for a fourth). In the end it was a fun* day out in the mountains and as a reward for carrying on to the summit a 2,000'+ scree slide deposits you back to the trail in a matter of minutes.

Sunrise.

A huge pile of rubble. Oh wait, that's North SIster...

The fun begins.

Matt on the summit.

South Sister (with Middle hiding on the right).

Ok, I guess it wasn't all that bad.

The summit block has the best "rock" on the whole thing!

Matt in his element on the descent.
